Start at the car park near the tennis courts south of Rue du Lavoir (marked for motorhome parking).
(S/E) Head along the wide path that runs alongside the Bourillon on your right, which is closed off by a barrier restricting access (heading north-east). Pass through another barrier to cross Rue du Bourillon and continue opposite, taking the path furthest to the right, running alongside the Bourillon, to the north-eastern edge of the park.
(1) Leave the Parc du Bourillon to reach a wide path, then take a sharp right to cross the Bourillon. Cross Rue du Bourillon to head along the path opposite. This runs alongside a wood before entering it. Ignore the various offshoots.
(2) At the junction with the D108, keep left onto the side path running alongside the main road. After 200m, at the crossroads, the path bends to the right. Cross the D108 carefully to take the Chemin de la Brosse. Initially tarmac, it is followed by a wide lane.
(3) At the junction, turn right to stay on the lane, which becomes the Chemin du Moulinet. After a pond on your right, the route crosses two branches of the Bourillon.
(4) Cross the Route de la Ferté with care at a place called Le Moulinet. Opposite, the well-marked path enters the woods. Ignore the side paths until you come to a grassy path on the left, about forty metres before the D7.
(5) Take the grassy path on the left, then keep left again at the fork. The path on the right leads to the dyke of the (private) pond, with no further way out. The grassy path is usually flooded for about ten metres where it runs alongside the dyke. You must either wade across or go round the wet area by taking a detour through the heath to keep your shoes (almost) dry. At a place called Les Grottes de Farges, cross the Route de Farges towards Les Coudreaux and Vert Tendre. Opposite, the lane soon enters the forest, then runs along the edge of a wood.
(6) Turn right onto the straight path at a place called La Rabolière. This crosses the D7, runs alongside a heath covered in broom, then bends to the right.
(7) When you reach the tarmac Chemin de Bourges, turn right after an old barn, at a place called La Patouille.
(8) Leave the tarmac after 350m and take a grassy path at the edge of a wood, taking a sharp left-hand bend towards Le Rosier. Stay on the busiest path.
(9) Keep to the right, staying on the grassy path which tends to merge with the fields. This crosses a compacted track and then turns right at the edge of a field, heading towards the village of Marcilly-en-Villette.
(10) At the entrance to the village, take the first street on the right, Rue de Chantaloup, just past the first sports facilities. Continue straight ahead at the first roundabout, then turn left at the end of the street.
(11) Go through the chicane to reach a new street. Continue straight ahead until you reach Rue de Sologne, then Rue de la Fontaine Saint-Blaise, which is almost directly opposite. Then turn right onto Rue du Lavoir to return to the starting point of the walk (S/E).
