The walk starts at the Place de l’Église in Ménestreau-en-Villette (car park).

(S/E) With your back to the church, carefully turn left onto the main road, Route de Vouzon, heading towards La Ferté-Saint-Aubin. Pass the cemetery; at the Fork in the road, keep left, ignoring the various off-roads.
(1) Leave the main road (D17, Route de la Ferté) 500 m after the cross, turning right onto a track towards the village pond. Follow this well-marked forest track until you come to a cross-track.

(2) Turn left at the crossroads. 150 m after passing the track leading to La Tabardière on your left, the path bends sharply to the left before joining the Route de Ménestreau.

(3) Turn left onto the Route de Ménestreau (D17), taking care. The road curves to the right, then to the left after 900 metres, forming a Fork in the road with a forest track.

(4) Leave the Route de Ménestreau and take the lane that veers slightly to the right. Once again, follow the well-marked lane, pass the private estate, Le Cheret, then cross the embankment of the Étangs du Briou.
(5) Turn right at the junction, just after the Étang des Briou. Then keep left at the Fork in the road just after the Étang du Donjon (the path on the right leads to the Château de Briou, which is private). Leave the track when it bends at a right angle towards Cantarelle on the left, and continue straight on.
(6) Keep left at the Fork in the road (the path on the right is private). The well-marked path crosses the Route des Moynards.

(7) Continue straight ahead for 500 metres after crossing the Route des Moynards
(8) Turn left at the junction (towards Ménestreau, 1.5 km) onto a wide path leading to the village of Ménestreau-en-Villette after joining the Route des Moynards.
(9) Where the Rue du Chemin du Moulin Mitaine joins the route, turn right and continue to the church in Ménestreau (S/E).
