From the top of the Catheline cable car to Colomby de Gex

There is a large car park in front of the Catheline Cable Car departure station in Lélex, which you should use to reach the start of the walk.

(S/E) The walk starts from the cable car’s top station; follow the track that branches off to the left as you look towards the summit of the ridge (north-east).
The route is signposted as the^GR®9(red and white).
At the first fork, continue to the left.

:1:: At the second fork, continue to the left, still on the^GR®9.

(2) Leave the track and turn right onto a path that climbs through the pastures, still following the^GR®9.
Follow the path along the ridge, with its ups and downs, to the summit of Colomby de Gex.

(3) Take in the panoramic views – this is the ideal spot for a picnic if the weather is fine.
Return via the same route to the junction you passed on the way out.

(1) Leave the^GR®9and turn left onto the wide path that climbs to the top of the Bergers chairlift to enjoy the panoramic views from the summit.

(4) Panoramic view. Return along the same route to the junction you passed on the way out.

(1) Head left onto the^GR®9, following the path in the opposite direction to the outward journey, and head for the top station of the Catheline gondola lift (S/E) to descend to Lélex.
If you prefer to walk, you can go up and down via the path beneath the cable car; the signposting is clear.

A walk through the pastures on the terraces overlooking Lake Geneva. If the weather is clear, there’s a splendid view of the lake, the city of Geneva and the Alps. A stroll through lush greenery with a wide variety of flowers. The panoramic view is unbroken. You’ll come across a few cows that approach out of curiosity. On the way back, a short detour to the top of the Bergers chairlift offers a splendid vantage point. Descend via the Catheline cable car. The route to Colomby de Gex is very straightforward.
