Description of the walk

(S) From the Tighiettu Refuge, continue the descent you began the day before after the Cirque de la Solitude to reach the Ballone sheepfold, where it is also possible to sleep.

(1) Continue along the path that winds through the forest for a few kilometres.
The path then climbs gently at first before becoming steeper and steeper. Cross the stream and then climb over a few rocky outcrops to reach Bocca di Foggiale.

(2) Climb almost to the ridge on your right and you will see the Ciuttulu di i Mori refuge, which you will reach by following the slightly descending path.

(3) Pass the refuge and continue along the path, which stays on the contour line for a while, following the ridge. The path then descends quite steeply towards Golo.

(4) Follow it along its right bank and then cross it at the ford. Follow the river until you reach the footbridge, which will allow you to cross to the other bank and reach the Bergerie de Radule.

(5) Continue to follow the markings that take you through the forest. Be careful, as the path is not always well marked, but it is still clearly signposted. You will reach the road, which you will take on your left to reach the small campsite next to the hotel (E).

Notes

You can swim not far from the Tighiettu Refuge, in the river below.
On your way, you can also swim when you cross to the other side of the river for the first time, using the ford. The spot is really beautiful. Further down, near the footbridge, you can also swim, but it can get crowded because the road is nearby.
Cheese is sold at the Bergerie de Radule.
A night at the Col de Vergio campsite costs €6 per person. There is a small grocery shop.

Good idea to extend the trip to Castello di Vergio, it balances out the hikes, and the campsite is more comfortable.

Although the guidebook recommends spending the night at the Ciuttulu di i Mori refuge, we decided to continue for a few more hours to shorten the next day's stage. The setting is much less pleasant, but it allowed us to even out the stages.
