From Prince d'Orange to Boitsfort, the Pond of the Drowned Children and the Vuylebeek

The main route starts at Prince d'Orange and enters the Sonian Forest. Then head towards Boitsfort and the Ponds of the Drowned Children. The path then joins Hermite Pond before returning to Prince d'Orange.

Description of the walk

1. Departure from Prince d'Orange → Entrance to the Sonian Forest

• Take Avenue du Prince d'Orange towards Drève de Lorraine.

• Enter the forest via the path along the IRSA.

2. Towards Boitsfort

• Follow the paths towards the Fer à Cheval ponds, on a footpath reserved for pedestrians.

• Enjoy the views of these iconic ponds, perfect for a photo break.

3. Ponds of the Drowned Children

• Continue towards the Enfants Noyés ponds, a peaceful spot surrounded by majestic beech trees.

• Ideal for a break: benches and shaded areas.

Extension to Tournay Solvay Park: pass under the railway line, the entrance gate is 100 metres to the left.

4. Hermite Pond

• Continue to Hermite Pond, which is more secluded and wild.

• Calm atmosphere, often frequented by herons and ducks.

5. Return to Prince d'Orange

• Take the circular path back along the Vuylebeek stream.
