From the Dreiländerblick viewpoint to Malbrouck

Starting from the Dreiländerblick viewpoint, which offers stunning panoramic views of the Moselle Valley on the German, French and Luxembourgish sides, the route descends towards Belmach and Haut-Apach before climbing up the opposite side towards the Kitzingerberg and reaching the village of Ritzing. After this first half of the walk, which takes place entirely in the forest, the landscape changes completely as you explore the countryside surrounding the Hirschenberg and its field of solar panels. After passing Malbrouck Castle, which was magnificently renovated at the end of the 20th century, the route crosses the village of Merschweiller before reaching the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace (Friedenskapelle) and the panoramic path that leads back to the starting point.
You may well have the chance to see storks flying overhead, watch birds of prey soaring, and spot the odd roe deer at the edge of a woodland.
