Park in the car park of the multipurpose hall overlooking the lake.
(S/E) Head back down to the village, pass to the left of the oven, then head towards the church and pass it on the left. Climb the path marked in yellow-green towards Col de Marocaz. About 800 m from the church, leave a path on the right. Join a small road, 30 minutes and 1.4 km from the church.
(1) Leave the path towards Col de Marocaz and turn right. Pass an iron cross. Walk up the quiet little road for 20 minutes until you reach an intersection.
(2) Take the path on the left (towards Mont-le-Lac) and follow it for about 60 metres until you reach another intersection with a local signpost.
(3) Do not descend towards the lake, but continue left for 200 metres.
(4) Continue left again. The path winds through woods and box trees and reaches the summit of Mont Rochefort (1,102 metres). After pausing to enjoy the view, continue along the path (some steep sections) which then continues through the woods to return to the crossroads.
(4) Turn left towards the crossroads you passed on the way up.
(3) Turn left again towards the lake and descend (markers and directional signs). Arrive at the village of Lac and go around the lake either on the left or right:
- On the left, take the road then the discovery trail along the lake (this is marked on the map).
- On the right, take the small road and footpath, relaxation area, inn, etc.
Then return to the car park (S/E)
