Park in the car park opposite the landscaped cemetery in Montmélian.
(S/E) From the car park, head up the road first, then take a small path on the right at a bend in the road, and rejoin the road briefly until you reach a signpost.
(1) Take the path on the left which climbs alongside a vineyard, join a track and follow it, continuing to climb to the left. Pass a hairpin bend, climb for a further 200 m or so, and look out for the start of a path on the left.
(2) Leave the track and take the path that climbs steadily to the left; allow about 2 hours 15 minutes to emerge at the edge of a large meadow: Le Gros Mollard, 1060 m.
(3) Head up to the left along the edge of the meadow, pass through a cattle gate and enter a small wood. The path reaches the ridge; follow it to La Roche du Guet.
(4) Return to the fork.
(3) Continue the descent along the edge until you reach the Rocher de Manettaz.
(5) Descend for a few minutes to this rocky outcrop overlooking the Isère valley.
Climb back up into the meadow and continue along the edge of the meadow, following a fence, to reach the Col du Mont.
(6) Turn sharply right for a long descent towards Cruet. At a hairpin bend at an altitude of 590m, leave the path towards Cruet.
(7) Head down to the right towards the village of Arbin. The path rejoins the vineyard. You’ll reach the Vierge crossroads (statue).
(8) Descend towards the village until you reach the first houses of Arbin.
(9) Take the path on the right, running alongside the vineyard on the right and the village on the left. The path soon climbs towards the Calloudes housing estate.
(10) Follow the road leading down opposite.
(1) Return along the route in the opposite direction towards the car park (S/E).

, but what a view when you reach the top. You can extend the route to the Col du Mont by heading to Lac de la Thuille.
