Departure from Pella, on the western shore of Lake Orta. From the south, from the centre of Pella, take Via Don Gaetan Zonotti along the lake. Cross Via Roma, continue and park in a paid car park at the corner of the next street.
(S/E) Take the street that heads west, away from the lake, where the car park is located. Ignore the church and turn left at the three-way junction a few metres before it.

(2) Ignore the path that branches off to the right (barred) and continue straight ahead. At the road, turn right and reach the start of a path on the left.
(3) Take this path and you will come to a hamlet street. Turn left and then quickly turn right opposite the garages. Follow the grassy lane to the tarmac road.
(4) Take the street on the left (Via Monte San Giulio), follow the markings for 800 metres and arrive at a three-way junction with a pretty calvary on the right-hand side in the village of Egro.
(5) Follow the street to the right and the white-red markings. Walk past the church on your left, then take the alleyway on the right, Via Crocciolo, just after. You will reach a fork in the road facing a wall.
(6) Turn right, taking a hairpin bend, onto the path towards Croce Di Egro and reach the foot of a telecommunications pylon.
(7) Follow the path down to the right and continue to the end, where there is a viewpoint.
(8) Admire the view of the lake and retrace your steps to the hairpin bend.
(6) Follow the path to the right into the forest. At the hamlet, continue along the tarmac road until you reach a multiple junction. Take thesecond road on the right and head towards the cemetery and the chapel of Egro.
(9) Pass between the two and continue along this pleasant path.
(10) Walk alongside Grassona Cemetery and continue to a hamlet and its church with a nearby picnic area (tables and games).
(11) At the corner of the church, turn right at a right angle, then continue straight ahead on Via Santa Lucia. Follow the signs, turn right at the road and take thefirst path on the right.

(13) Leave the signposts and turn right onto Via per Cerara, then continue along Via per Ronco. The road turns into a gravel path; descend to a large chapel.
(14) Go around it on the left and continue downhill, walking alongside it. Further on, ignore the paths that branch off to the left and continue to the road that runs alongside the lake. Follow it to the right with caution. This is not the most pleasant part of the walk, but enjoy the view of the lake.
(15) There are three benches where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the lake. Continue along the road, find more benches further on and reach the car park at Pella (S/E).
