Park east of the dam on the Couzon.
(S/E) Follow the dam towards the left bank of the Couzon
(1) Turn left onto the path and follow the lake shore
(2) At the end of the lake, continue straight ahead on the path along the Couzon. Be careful, as the path is partially collapsed over a 4-5 metre stretch. Continue on the path when it veers away from the river and turns west. Further on, at the first houses in Seyoux, turn left, then left again onto the small road.
(3) Take the road on the left, heading south-east, and after about 300 metres, take the path on the left along the stream. At the next two intersections, turn right twice, then continue straight ahead until you reach the road and a cross.
(4) Continue along the path opposite. Further on, you will come to a road opposite the hamlet of La Croix du Sud. Turn left and follow the road.
(5) At the bend, turn left onto the path running alongside the fields (marked in white and yellow). Further on, follow the road to the left and head towards the village of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez.
(6) Continue straight ahead for 50 metres to visit the Chartreuse de Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, then return to the crossroads and turn right after the bridge over the Guilleranche. Turn left into the car park and, after the Ferme du Moulin, take the bridge on the right to cross the Couzon. Immediately afterwards, cross the Boisieux stream and follow the tennis court on your left.
(7) Cross the road and turn left opposite, towards the Chapelle de Jurieux. You will come to a road; follow it to the left to pass through the village of Thesay. Continue straight ahead to find the chapel on the left-hand side of the road.
(8) Continue along the road and pass the hamlets of Jurieux, Chez Prat and La Grange.
(9) After this last hamlet, take the first path after a cross (second path after the left turn) and follow it, ignoring the paths on either side until you reach a forest road leading to La Rente. Follow this track to the right. After the house, at a place called La Rente, the track turns left, then right.
(10) At this right-hand bend, leave the road on the left (west) and follow the path that takes you back to the dam (S/E) through the Grand Bois. Be sure to follow the map carefully to find the right way at each intersection.
