The car park is located at the dam.
(S/E) To start the circuit, follow the dam along the path under the D30 road. You will need to climb over the railing to do this. Follow this path along the lake until you reach a small building that houses a lock.
(1) Go through this building, which is open, and you will now be between the two banks of the lake on a small stone dam. Cross over to the other side. An old wooden sign indicating the mesh size for fishing regulations is hanging on a stone wall.
Continue on your left, following the river bed. The river will now be on your left. Continue uphill until you come to the path that leads back up to the village of Seyoux on your right.
(2) This is the start of a hundred-metre climb. At the top of the hill, you will come to a house with a path leading off to the right. Do not take this path; instead, continue on your left to enter the village. Once in the village, cross it.
Take the first street on your right, then right again at the next intersection. Continue along the road. After the first hairpin bend, ignore the first path that climbs up on your left (pt446).
(3) Continue to the next intersection (pt447).
(4) There, leave the road and take the path that climbs up on your left. Continue straight ahead along this path until you reach the junction with Route du Sorbier at pt410. This passage overlooks the lake and offers a beautiful view.
(5) At the junction with Route du Sorbier, you can turn right to cut across, and the paved road will take you back to the dam. I recommend continuing along this paved road to the left towards the village of Richardon.
(6) At the entrance to the village, turn immediately right onto the "Chemin de Richardon" which descends. Follow the main road, ignoring the road that branches off to the left.
(7) In the bend before the trial club, take the path that branches off to the right, then a few metres further on to the left. This passage is quite difficult as the path is not very recognisable amid the motorcycle tracks. Follow the path along the west bank of the Couzon river.
(8) You will pass over an aqueduct that will take you to the east bank. Continue along this path until you reach the foot of the dam, and you have arrived. Go back up to the car park using the path on your left at the foot of the dam (S/E).
