This stretch of rugged coastline passes close to Agois Island, a rock separated from the mainland by just a few metres and inhabited since prehistoric times. Devil’s Hole is a natural crater carved into the sheer cliff face. The walk ends at Bonne Nuit Bay, offering a breathtaking view. Bonne Nuit is so named because of its reputation as a calm and peaceful anchorage.

This section is the most spectacular and also the most challenging on the North Coast. Breathtaking coastal scenery, a woodland known as ‘Egypt’, a tea plantation and, to round it off, the charm of the small, colourful harbour at Rozel. This is the highest part of the island, dominated by the Platons, a peak rising to 143 metres.You can stop off at Bouley Bay, served by Line 4.

Here is a short stroll through Waterwork’s Valley to Hamptonne, the living farm museum. This woodland path was created entirely by volunteers from the Parish of St Lawrence to celebrate the Millennium. The route was decided upon in October 1998, and work started in November of that year. A nucleus of about 40 people took part in the scheme. Several private landowners generously allowed the path to cross their land, but most of the land that the path crosses is owned by Jersey Water.
