Description of the walk

Park at Col du Pfaffenschlick opposite the inn.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, follow the D65 on the right for a few metres, then take the Route des Cimes on the left. At the next left-hand bend, follow the path opposite, slightly to the right, which joins another path further on, marked with a yellow disc and diamond.

(1) Follow it straight ahead to the next crossroads.

(2) Continue on the path on the right-hand side (marked with a yellow disc) and shortly afterwards you will reach the Carrefour du Stieffelsberg.

(3) Turn left and then, at the next junction, continue straight ahead (marked with a red disc) until you reach the junction with a wider forest path.

(4) Cross it and follow the path that climbs gently opposite (red disc markings). After several bends, you will rejoin the path marked with yellow discs.

(5) Follow this path on the right until the next junction with a wider path.

(6) Ignore the two paths on the right and turn left. The path makes a sharp right turn and continues to climb gently (yellow ring markings). Follow it until the next junction with a trail.

(7) Turn completely left onto the Yellow Ring marked path which climbs gently, winding its way up to the Col du Luchsenkopf.

(8) Follow the path on the right until the next junction.

(9) Continue on the path on the left (marked with a yellow rectangle) and reach a car park at the edge of the forest.

(10) Leave the pumping station on your left and re-enter the forest. The path continues just after on the right (marked with a yellow rectangle GR®532) and leads to the Ruins of the Hermitage a little further on.

(11) Continue straight ahead until the next bend.

(12) Turn left (still following the yellow rectangle markings). The path climbs through the forest for a few dozen metres until you reach the next crossroads.

(13) Turn right and head towards the Stiefelsberg crossroads (yellow rectangle markings).

(14) Continue straight ahead and, after passing the blockhouses, reach the car park at the Col du Pfaffenschlick (S/E).

It would be better if the app only gave the walking time.
as the duration of the walk itself varies greatly.

The car park at the Pfaffenschlick Pass is private and reserved for guests of the inn.
An interesting route through the forest (currently muddy). We had a ray of sunshine at the Luchsenkopf pass. There is a pretty fountain near Cleebourg (drinking water).
However, the end of the route will need to be changed. The Treetop Walk has created a new walking route, and the GR (yellow rectangle) will be modified. We had to follow the Treetop Walk route back to the car.
