Park at the Pointe des Châteaux car park.
(S/E) Follow the road for 180 metres, then turn right onto the path, admiring the beautiful view of the lagoon and, further to the right, the rocks of Pointe des Châteaux.
(1) Go around Grande Saline, pass Point à Plume and arrive at a fork in the road.
(2) Take the path on the right, pass Anse à Plume before arriving at a fork above the Tarare naturist beach.
(3) Head towards the Pointe Tarare observatory , which offers a magnificent panorama of Pointe des Châteaux and its landscape eroded by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as a direct view of Île de la Désirade.
(4) Return to the fork.
(3) Continue the hike to the right and head to Pointe à la Gourde, straying slightly from the path.
(5) Continue to the wild beach ofAnse à la Gourde, protected by a coral reef and bordered by a forest of almond and raisin trees. The sea is often rough here, but the beautiful seabed is home to many fish that shelter in the coral rocks, known locally as caye (E).
