Description of the walk

Park in the car park next to Saint-Pierre Church, 15 Place François Gourdon, Andrezé

Blue markings throughout the walk.

(S/E) Start on Rue de la Poste to the right of the church and follow the ‘no entry’ sign by turning left. Walk past the chemist’s, go up the street to the junctions and carry straight on into Rue du Pontreau. Walk up this street to the wayside cross at the crossroads in the Grande Guerche neighbourhood.

(1) Turn left towards La Petite Guerche and walk to it. Leave this road here and continue along the path that follows it. You’ll reach a T-junction with a new road.

(2) Turn left and head downhill to the road. At the junction, head up the road to the right. Pass through the hamlet of La Chalouère. Turn right in front of the wayside cross, walk past a long farm building and reach the junction with five roads in the hamlet of La Grande Gobinière.

(3) Take the first path on the right just before the half-built building. Walk through the fields to a house in the hamlet of La Bouchetière.

(4) Go round it on the left and follow the Chemin de Jallais to a four-way crossroads.

(5) Cross the road and continue straight ahead to quickly reach the junction with a path leading to L’Aubronnière.

(6) Leave this path on your right and take the one on the left. After the right-angled bend to the left, turn right a few metres further on. Walk along the fields until you reach the Route de la Hérissière.

(7) Turn right onto it and follow it to the large farm with several buildings.

(8) Turn slightly to the right, then ignore the paths branching off to the right and left. You’ll reach the Ruisseau de la Coupillière. Follow it for a few metres before crossing it and rejoining the crossroads you passed earlier in the hamlet of l’Aubronnière.

(6) Continue straight ahead along the same path as on the way there to quickly reach the four-way crossroads.

(5) Turn left onto the road and follow it. At the 90° bend, take the path on the left just before the trees. Follow it, skirting a hedgerow, then walk alongside the fields of shrubs on your left until you reach a sheepfold

(9) Take the path on the right and follow it along an almost straight route to emerge at the crossroads by the Grande Guerche wayside cross, which you passed on the way out.

(1) Turn left and, following the same route as on the way out, you’ll soon reach the car park at Andrezé church (S/E)..

A lovely circular walk that takes you past a castle and through several fields of young, freshly planted trees, all neatly lined up!
