From Gare de Lyon to Porte d'Auteuil

This walk, part of the GR® 75, allows you to discover a large number of parks situated on the edge of Paris’s southern ring road. It serves as an intermediate stage and allows you to explore the southernmost section of the GR®. There are many notable spots along theGR® and in the surrounding area, such as the Butte aux Cailles, Montsouris Park and the Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil. As you pass through the many parks, you’ll feel as though you’re far removed from the city.

This walk is part of a multi-day hike: Le tour de Paris par le GR®75

This walk gave us the chance to explore lesser-known neighbourhoods, particularly in the 13th arrondissement, with a lovely selection of parks that were very pleasant in the sweltering heat; we really did discover some hidden gems in Paris.
We stopped at Balard because of the heat, but we’ll continue the rest of the route another day, moving on to Porte d’Auteuil and Porte de la Villette

Paris from little-known angles: all 14 participants on the Ch175 were in complete agreement. The parks, gardens and walking routes are numerous, unique and soothing.
The small loop around the Parc des Expositions at Place Balard is magnificent. A stop at Vaugirard station is a must.
Parc André Citroën and Parc de Bercy are worth exploring.
Parc Kellermann is a very pleasant spot where we had a picnic.

A very pleasant walk in the south of Paris. I discovered lots of little-known squares and gardens. No particular difficulties. The Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil was closed off due to preparations for Roland Garros. I then walked through the Bois de Boulogne, finishing at Porte Maillot.
