Notes

(S) Departure is in the immediate vicinity of Austerlitz station in Paris, served by TER regional trains, RER C, the underground (lines 5 and 10) and numerous bus routes.

(E) Arrival at Massy-Palaiseau station in Massy, which is also very well served: Transilien (line V), RER B and C, tram to Évry, numerous buses. Another possible arrival point is Massy-Verrières station, served only by RER B and C.

In the suburbs, the GR® runs more or less parallel to the RER B line, so it is easy to find a way to one of its stations to shorten the stage or split it in two (the halfway point being at the Arcueil and Cachan aqueducts, near the Arcueil-Cachan and Bagneux stations).

The trail is well marked, although there is always the possibility of confusion at a crossroads (a map is essential). There are no particular difficulties (urban sections and landscaped parks), except for the length of the stage, but again, it can easily be done in two or more stages.

Hike completed on1 January 2024 with the aim of covering the entire GR® 11.
