Description of the walk

To get to the starting point: from Les Angles (66210), take Avenue de Balcère at the cemetery and follow it to the top of the hill with its viewpoint. Then continue straight ahead on the road that starts at the foot of the rubbish sorting containers, towards Étang de Balcère, and park in the car park just before it.

(S/E) From the car park, walk up the road for a few metres until you see a hiking sign.

(1) Leave the road and take the path that climbs to the right. A little further on, you will come to an intersection with a signpost.

(2) Take the path that climbs to the right to reach a track after a steep slope.

(3) Take the track on the right, pass the "Font Grossa" and climb up opposite. Ignore a route that branches off to the right and continue to the end of the track.

(4) Continue along the path that climbs to the left, cross the stream and climb gradually. After a final steep slope, you will reach the Étang de la Balmette.

(5) After enjoying the spot, retrace your steps and return to the Étang de Balcère car park (S/E).
