From Coquibus to Maisse station via Milly-la-Forêt

(S/E) From the Coquibus farm, turn right and head west along the well-maintained, wide Chemin de Milly à Coquibus. After joining the^GR®11(red and white markings) coming from the left, continue along this same path, which heads south-west, until you reach the D837 road.

(1) Cross the D837 and take Rue de la Plaine opposite. After about 150 metres, at a fork, turn left and continue straight on along a path to reach the centre of Milly-la-Forêt, where you turn right towards Les Halles. There are plenty of attractions and shops to visit in the centre of Milly-la-Forêt.

(2) Resume the route via the^PR®08(yellow markings) along Rue Langlois. Walk past the church.

(3) Then pass the castle’s wash house. At a Fork in the road, turn right towards La-Ferté-Alais. Ignore Rue des Châtaigniers on the right and, at the next Fork in the road, turn left onto Rue du Rousset.

(5) At the end of this street, carry on straight ahead along a path clearly marked in yellow: the Chemin du Clos d’Eau.
Cross the ring road and continue straight ahead on the^PR®08. At a T-junction, turn right. Carry on straight ahead, ignoring the paths to the left or right, and climb up onto the plateau to reach the business park. Turn right and go round the business park on the right-hand side.

(6) Cross the D837 and continue straight ahead along the^PR®, which is also a cycle path. Ignore a wide path on the right and, at the next Fork in the road, turn right.

(7) At the next junction, turn right onto a section shared with the^GR®1(red and white markings).

(8) Turn left onto Rue de Milly and head towards Maisse station, which is on the right (E).

In Milly, don’t miss a visit to Jean Cocteau’s legendary house and the Saint-Blaise Chapel, which he decorated with drawings of medicinal plants.

There are plenty of places to eat, offering local specialities including ‘Milly mint’.
