You will be leaving from Beurieres Church.
(S/E) Take the small lane to the north that runs alongside the restaurant. Follow a yellow-markedPR® and, at La Folerie, leave the road and continue along a path not shown on the map to the village of Le Béal.
(1) Climb the winding path until you reach a small road.
(2) Follow the road to the right and, when it turns left, leave it for a path on the left (north-west). Cross Ollièrgues and continue eastwards.
(3) Cross the Ruisseau des Vernades stream. At the next fork, turn right and head towards Chavagnat.
(4) Head south on a path that descends.
(5) Cross the Bourtrand stream and, a few metres further on, turn sharply left and head uphill. At the T-junction that follows, turn right and you will arrive at the Montravel chapel.
(6) Continue to the right towards an orientation table where you will discover a magnificent view of the Dore Valley. Follow thePR® again, turning left to cross a small road by first turning left then right and descending to La Pascaille.
(7) At the T-junction, turn left onto the road. At the end, after a right-hand bend, continue straight ahead (west) along a path.
(8) At the crossroads, ignore the signpost on the right and turn left towards Couraille.
(9) Continue south and cross Rouffiat. You will find a forest track by continuing straight ahead and crossing the Ruisseau de la Motterie. At the next junction, continue straight ahead.
(10) At the three-way junction, turn right. Descend steeply, ignoring a path on the left and then one on the right. At the next three-way junction, turn left and you will come to a tarmac road (cross).
(11) Go a few metres to the right and then immediately to the left. After about 100 metres, turn right.
(12) Turn left and pass under a power line. Turn right onto the grassy path and you will come to a road.
(13) Follow the road to the left, enter Chouvel and ignore another road on the left. Then turn immediately right and right again. Head north-east, ignoring the side roads. Pass under the power line again and, at the fork, take the left-hand path (still heading north-east). At the next fork (elevation 575), turn left.
(14) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead, leaving the chapel on your right. Continue north to Garamot.
(15) Cross the D38 to continue north on a dirt track.
(16) Turn right onto the road (cross). This will take you back to the village of Beurières and the car park (S/E).
