Yellow markings, lines and smallPR®® directional signs
(S/E). Walk past the church towards the town hall, turn right, follow this street to leave the village, then continue on the path that extends it. Further on, at a left-hand bend in the path, leave it for a path that goes straight ahead. Shortly afterwards, at a left-hand bend in the path, go straight ahead again on a path that quickly joins a road. Cross it and continue on the path opposite. Ignore a path on the right, rejoin the road and continue on the path opposite. Further on, ignore two paths on the left (not shown on maps). You will arrive at the bottom of the Tonvic stream valley.
(1) Cross it via a stone arch bridge, climb up opposite to reach the D205. Cross carefully and take the street opposite, Chemin de Chamby, to cross part of the hamlet of Issartier. Ignore Chemin des Bois on the left, then, at the left-hand bend in the road, continue on the path that goes straight ahead. At the T-junction with a path, turn right and ignore a vague path leading down to the right. Then ignore a path on the left, then one on the right shortly after, and you will arrive at Plagne.
(2) Follow the street straight ahead through the hamlet. At the intersection, turn left, then ignore a path on the right and continue straight ahead. The street gives way to a carriage road after the farm buildings (watch out for dogs; bring a few stones with you). At a logging area, ignore the paths on the left, then ignore two more paths on the left.
(3) Turn onto a path that branches off to the right and leads to Chassagnolles. At the intersection with the street, turn left and, at the next intersection with a cross, turn right. The street leads to the D205. Cross carefully and take the Route du Mas opposite.
(4) Cross the Ruisseau de Tonvic stream over the bridge, then take the path on the right. At the T-junction, turn left and continue to a crossroads in Chaillargues, marked by a cross.
(5) Turn right and follow the road marked "Toutes directions" (All directions). At the next intersection, turn right onto a small road, Chemin de Champagne, towards Les Planches. Stay on this road, ignoring a path on the left, and you will come to a bridge over the Ruisseau de Baffie.
(6) For a round trip, follow the path on the right that runs alongside the stream. (This is marked as an alternative route: it takes you back to the village along the stream, but you then have to go back up the same path you took on the way down.) After a walk of varying length along the stream, retrace your steps back to the bridge.
(6) Follow the road to the right over the bridge, ignore a path on the left, cross a second bridge over the Cros stream, then leave the road and take a path uphill to the left. At the fork in the path, turn right, ignore a hairpin bend path on the left further on and you will arrive at a street in Saint-Just. Follow it to the left to return to the church square and town hall (S/E).
