Pointe de Beauregard and Croix de Colomban
This hike offers several different views of the mountains. The climb is gradual and takes you through alpine pastures. The descent is mainly through forest. There are some beautiful views, particularly of the Aravis mountain range, Mont Blanc and La Tournette.
The Croix de Colomban circular walk starting from the Pré à l'Ours car park
From the Pré à l’Ours car park, you reach the Chalet du Petit Novard, before coming out at the Croix de Colomban. A stop is a must to admire the view. In no time at all you’ll reach the Chalet de Colomban, situated on the plateau, which offers unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. You’ll then have a short climb to reach the highest point, taking the Frêtes ridge path. Return via the Maisons du Bois Nord, skirting the Plateau des Follières.
The Croix de Colomban circular loop from Pré à l'Ours
Here is a lovely alternative for exploring the Croix de Colomban on snowshoes, starting from the Col de la Croix Fry, which is very often crowded at weekends. Although not very long, the elevation gain is quite significant and the slope is sometimes quite steep. Certain sections, particularly the crossing of the Nant Bruyant, can be tricky depending on snow conditions or the flow of the stream.

Aiguille des Calvaires and Combe de Borderan
A great pointy summit with a cross on top and good views followed by a descent of Borderan Combe. This could easily be done in reverse and/or without the use of the cable cars.
The Col de la Forclaz from Entremont to Le Petit Bornand
In the commune of Glières-Val-de-Borne, in the Bargy massif, Lac de Lessy is a true gem at the foot of the Pic de Jalouvre. The walk takes you through forests and mountain pastures. It features a short rocky section. The start from La Joux and the return via Montagne de Paradis and Cocogne are what make this walk unique. You pass the two-hundred-year-old hamlet of Les Chalets de Mayse. The Chalet de Lessy is nestled on the lakeside after the Col de la Forclaz.

Depart from the Col des Annes, pass by the Refuge de la Pointe Percée, then by the Col des Verts. Camp at the Gouille des Fours, where ibex have made their home, with a magnificent view of Mont Blanc.
