In Môtiers (Switzerland), follow the signs for Creux du Van until you reach the Creux du Van car park on the right-hand side of the road, just before the Métairie du Soliat.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, go up the road on the right, ignoring the first path on the right, to reach an intersection.
(1) Take the road on the right for a few metres, enter the meadow/wood on the left, follow the path until you reach the road just before a right-hand bend.
(2) At the bend, cross the road, take the path straight ahead in the field, follow it through the meadow/wood, then it climbs a little further under the trees before reaching the Métairie du Soliat (food and drink).
(3) Pass in front of the Auberge du Soliat and continue straight ahead to the superb dry stone wall.
(4) Continue straight ahead downhill to reach various viewpoints overlooking the interior of the Creux du Van cliff.You may encounter ibexes, which like to rest there.
(5) Return via the same route.
(4) Continue to the left along the wall. There are openings in the wall leading to viewing platforms (unsecured).
Others are closed; please respect these restrictions for your own safety and to protect the natural environment .
(6) Leave the cliff to reach the viewpoint on the right overlooking the Soliat Alps and its orientation table.
(7) Retrace your steps.
(6) Continue to the right around the Creux du Van cliff.
(8) After the last viewpoint, continue along the path that runs alongside the forest and passes through the meadow/woods to reach the Grand Vy dairy farm.
(9) In season, you can eat and drink at the dairy farm.
Otherwise, turn right at a sharp angle and follow the path to reach the wall.
(10) Take the path on the left, join the road and follow it to the right. Ignore the first path on the right, continue to the next fork, take the road on the right and arrive at La Baronne (food and drink).
(11) Descend to the left, join the path that goes down to the right into the meadows/woods. Continue to reach a white path.
(12) Take it to the right for two hundred metres.
(13) When you reach the first pasture fence, be sure to turn right, follow the fence, cross a small wood, and after 200 metres, veer slightly to the left and continue until you reach the Les Petites Fauconnières dairy farm (food and drink).
(14) After passing to the right of the dairy farm, take the track to the left behind it, then take a path to the right and follow the woods on your right.
(15) Descend under the trees, cross the path, then continue through the woods. When you reach the bottom, follow the boundary and rejoin the road. Turn left onto it for 200 metres and return to the car park (S/E).
