The Gailhousty spillway
This two- to three-hour walk takes you to the Gailhousty site, where you can discover a number of structures of great architectural quality. Their function is linked to the danger of flooding from the River Aude, which has always been a threat. This part of the Canal de Jonction was built in the river's floodplain. The floods of 1999 prompted decision-makers to build the dykes that are part of the scenery along this route.

Vierge de Cruque via the belvedere and Combe Mâle
The route consists of two small circular loops:
1 - Discover the town of Narbonne by climbing up to the orientation table via a pretty path. You will descend via the spectacular little road, the "Chemin de la Couleuvre".
2 - At the start of the Combe Mâle, at the foot of the wild climbing cliffs (50 routes according to the FFME). After a steep climb through the vegetation, you will descend gently towards the magical Vierge de Cruque.
You can climb up to discover the cave located under the statue.
The Plana Trail
In Occitan, “Plana” means flat; here it refers to the flat hill. This footpath allows you to explore Moussan and its hills, with the magnificent view from the Plana, which offers a vista over much of the region from Narbonne to Béziers, with the Montagne Noire and the Alaric in the background. It also allows you to discover the pre-Romanesque Chapel of Saint-Laurent.

The Virgin of Cruque from the Domaine de l'Hospitalet
This hike follows paths and tracks that often cross heaths before reaching a pretty forest overlooking the Domaine de la Ricardelle. The route then runs parallel (via an uphill path) to the Chemin de la Couleuvre, allowing you to reach the antennas and enjoy a beautiful view. The return journey, which begins in the direction of the Domaine du Puech Redon, follows paths and tracks once again. This route is largely unmarked but well known to hikers as it follows a path that passes close to the cave, dominated by a statue of the Virgin of Cruque erected in 1915, and other routes in La Clape, fairly close to Notre-Dame-des-Auzils.
The Clape plateaus
This hike, which starts from the road (Chemin de la Couleuvre), will allow you to discover the Massif de la Clape from a different angle, passing by springs, karstic caves and caves.
The Pech de Thou and the château de Carasses
A tranquil hike graded moderate for the distance and altitude gain. Most of the hike is on tarmac roads. Some nice views along all of the route, especially at the water tower where you can see Capestang, the lake and further away, Narbonne and the Pyrenean mountain range. Also Béziers, Puisserguier and further away, the Haut-Languedoc hills.
Heath scrubland and cliffs of La Clape
This unique hike offers beautiful views through the heaths and at the foot of the La Clape cliffs in good weather. However, it does present a number of challenges: stony paths, rocky trails that sometimes tend to close in, two ditches to cross, a stone wall to climb at one point, then descend with caution, before returning to more pleasant paths and tracks at the end of the route. Finally, this is an unmarked route for which the use of the Visorando app or a GPS is recommended.
The Chappe Tower at Narbonne-Jonquières
A half-day walk in the hills of Roches Grises in Narbonne to discover the forerunner of telecommunications, with a superb view of the Étang de Bages-Sigean.
The Combe d'Enfer in the Massif de Fontfroide

An alternative route, described in the practical information section, allows you to bypass this tricky section.
