(S) From your bivouac site, return to the hotel car park and head north-east on the Sentier de la Fourmi des Bois trail. Climb through the woods until you reach a crossroads.
(1) Continue north-east to the Alpage meadow. Continue to the Chalet des Monts de Bière Derrière.
(2) At the Monts de Bière Derrière signpost, follow the direction of Mont Tendre. Pass in front of the Couvert du Grand Cunay farm and continue until you come to an alpine stable at a place called Grand Cunay (1570 m).
(3) From the barn, start a curve to the north-west and continue north-east to the signpost at the crossroads (a sign indicates the direction of the Chalet des Combes where you can find goat's cheese).
(4) Turn right onto the small tarmac road heading east-northeast. Continue until you reach the signpost with the CAS indication at the top.
(5) Follow the direction of Mont Tendre, staying on the road heading south-east. Continue to the fork at the intersection with a stony path (here, a sign indicates goat's cheese 500 m away). Turn left and continue to the intersection with the access path to the Cabane du Cunay CAS.
(6) Continue straight ahead to pass below a building with a wind turbine, continuing north-east to enter the woods. Continue in this direction until you reach the Cabane du Servan.
(7) Keep going in this direction until you reach the Chalet de Yens.
(8) At a bend, pass the chalet on your right and continue eastwards to reach Mont Tendre, the highest point of the stage (1,679 m).
(9) Continue north-east to begin the descent and continue on to Chalet du Mont Tendre (if the weather permits, sit on the terrace of the refreshment bar and enjoy a fondue or a dish cooked over a wood fire, or simply quench your thirst while admiring the superb panorama offered by the site).
(10) Continue the descent towards the north-east until you reach the hairpin bend.
(11) Stay on the marked path, then turn right before the alpine barn and continue north-east to the signpost at the crossroads.
(12) Turn right onto the stony path and continue downhill to the crossroads.
(13) Stay on the stony path until you reach the access path to the Chalet du Pré de l'Haut Dessus.
(14) At the signpost, head north-east, pass a dry stone wall and continue to the signpost at the intersection with a tarmac road.
(15) Follow the signs for Col du Mollendruz, walking alongside a dry stone wall. Continue until you reach the sign for Chalet Le Mazot.
(16) Turn right over the cattle grid, then continue along the slightly uphill road. At the sign above Le Mazot chalet, turn left towards Col du Mollendruz. After the cattle grid, stay on the road through the fir trees and continue downhill until you reach the signpost marked "Tourisme pédestre" (Hiking) before a right-hand bend.
(17) Take the path on the left that climbs into the woods. Continue to the signpost at the intersection.
(18) Turn left towards the north-north-west to leave the woods and continue across a meadow. Continue to the Chalet du Mollendruz.
(19) Continue in this direction for about 150 metres before turning right onto the grassy path. At a small chalet, turn north-east and continue to the Col du Mollendruz, where you will arrive at a large car park (Nordic sports shop). Cross the road carefully when you reach the signpost.
(20) Follow the Mollendruz road to the left through the woods, then, before the left-hand bend, turn right (north-west) to enter the woods. Continue to the fork.
(21) Keep heading north-west to leave the woods and continue across the meadow until you reach the fork.
(22) Enter the woods again and continue to the Route du Mollendruz, where you will arrive at the Col de Pétra Félis (1144 m) at a crossroads with a sign saying "Bienvenue dans la vallée de Joux" (Welcome to the Vallée de Joux).
(23) Turn right, cross Route de la Vallée carefully, then turn right into the car park to find a signpost. Follow the signs for Le Pont. Continue through woods and meadows until you reach the crossroads.
(24) At the signpost, turn right and follow the signs for Le Pont. Continue until you reach the junction with Route Forestière la Petite Dent Dessous.
(25) Turn left towards the west-southwest. Continue until you reach the signpost at the intersection with Rue de la Dent.
(26) Turn left towards Le Pont Gare. Stay on this road until the left-hand bend.
(27) In the bend, leave the tarmac road and turn right onto the forest path. Descend until you reach the Petite-Corniche road. Cross this road carefully and continue straight ahead on the one-way street before arriving at the shore of Lac de Joux (where you can get supplies).
(28) Turn right to follow the lake on your left and continue to the Hôtel de la Truite.
(29) Continue along the lake and look for a place to camp between the railway line and Lac de Joux (E).
