Parking is available at the Consolation site car park.
(S/E) Leave the car park heading towards the site, passing in front of the watermill.
(1) Take the road on the right to head uphill. On the way up, on the right, there is a sign pointing to ‘Roche au Prêtre’ at the side of a path.
(2) Take this path. Once you reach the top of the road, turn right opposite the restaurant and walk behind the hotel to find a path with a sign for ‘Roche au Prêtre’ leading uphill
(3) Follow this path and, once at the top, walk past the statue of the Virgin Mary and take the path on the left; at the three-way junction, continue straight ahead (not towards the zip line) to find a small bridge a few dozen metres further on. There, cross the bridge to the right.
(4) Follow the path along the cliff. When you reach the junction with another path, turn left to reach some houses in a place called La Scie-dessus.
(5) There, take the path on the left, skirting the pasture, until you reach a path blocked by a wooden gate.
(6) Carry straight on along the path, following the sign for ‘Roche au Prêtre’, to reach the viewpoint at the top of the Roche au Prêtre.
(7) Then return along the path and, at the junction, take the path on the right which leads downhill to the wooden gate mentioned earlier.
(6) There, turn right at the sign for ‘Consolation’ (sign indicating that a helmet must be worn). Follow the path along the cliff to reach some metal steps.
(8) Pass the source of the Lançot. Continue along the path until you come to another set of metal steps.
(9) Cross the Lançot.
(1) At the bottom, turn right onto the path to reach the Consolation site, following the signs for ‘Consolation’ at all times. Walk through the park and then return to the car park (S/E).
. Be careful, some areas are slippery when wet. At the top of the stairs, the walk is sublime, but be careful if you have the vireux
