Start: church car park.
(S/E) Leave the car park on the left, head up towards the church and walk alongside it. Turn left into the first street (road sign for Roudoualec) and continue.
(1) Turn left into Rue du Stade, walk past the stadium and turn left towards Guernevez Vihan (green and yellow signpost).
(2) Follow this path down to the farm, which continues along a stony track.
At a place called Lost-ar Ménez, look out for two signposts, one yellow and the other green, marked ‘Tro Leuc’han’, which will serve as our landmark.
Green marker posts (old)
Join the D 6 and turn left (note: the marker post is used to support a letterbox and the green mark is no longer visible). Follow the road for about 100 m then turn right onto a grassy path running behind a house (green marker).
(3) Follow this path where the hazel trees form a lovely canopy. Ignore the turn-off to the right for Lanvern Farm and continue (view of the Montagnes Noires ridge line). At the next bend, leave the road on the left which leads to Ty Crom and continue right along the path.
(4) When you reach a tarmac section, at the first house, before Poulduot Farm, note a majestic yew tree. Go round the farm on the right to reach a small road.
(5) Turn left, follow this descending road, and cross a small stream.
At the next bend, take a new path on the right.
(7) At the end of the track, leave the signposted route and turn right towards Penvern.

Follow this small road, which is used more by livestock than by cars. Look out for the Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Nouvelle Chapel in Penvern, which you will reach via a track on the right. A peaceful spot for a rest if you wish. The votive fountain is clearly visible 50 m south of the chapel.
Retrace your steps, cross Penvern to reach the D 15, where you turn left.
Follow it for about 200 m (Take care! Stay on the grass verge as much as possible.)
Green marker posts (old)
(8) At the Penvern road sign, turn right onto a grassy path (green marker).
Follow this path, heading south-east. Continue along the small road towards Kerscun, and pass through this hamlet, which consists mainly of small rural lodges. This small road descends towards a wetland area crossed by a stream. Continue along this road.
(9) After the bend, at Trébiriou (old markers on the ground), take a new path on the right. Follow this long path heading south-east. Reach a small road leading to Kerménez farm, continue straight on and cross the D6. Take the path opposite.
Continue towards Ménez Saint-Jean, where you cross another road. The path continues straight ahead to the entrance of the hamlet of Saint-Jean.
(10) Look out for a cross in a small flower-filled garden, turn right then left to rejoin the D15 you have already encountered. Follow it for about 200 m (take care! Stay as close as possible to the grass verge.)

(11) Turn right at the first road (signposted Leuhan) and follow this downhill road.
(12) At the sign marking the entrance to Leuhan, turn left into Rue de l’École (no entry sign). Walk past the school and then the fire station to reach the street you took on the way there. Turn left then right to return to the car park (S/E).
The nearby wind farm might also be of interest to children...
