Drive to the car park at the famous Playa del Papagayo beach, so you can end your walk with a swim!
(S/E) Head towards the restaurants.
(1) Go around them on the right to reach the Mirador del Papagayo.
(2) Admire the view of the white sandy beaches on the right, opposite Fuerteventura, and Papagayo beach on the left. Retrace your steps.
(1) Turn right after the restaurants. Continue straight ahead on the path that leads to the next headland. You can decide whether to do the circular route around both headlands or take the path that leads directly to the bunker.
(3) Two options:
- Go directly to the beach: Paya Caleta del Congrio (naturist beach).
- Continue along the path along the coast towards the third headland, following the route provided.
(4) Again, there are two options:
- Continue along the coastal path that climbs up in front of you (not the one on the left that returns to the car park).
- Walk along the beach following the route provided.
Towards the end of the beach, return to the path that continues to the right along the campsite fence.
(5) Leave Playa Memos beach on your right and take the path that climbs immediately to the right. Stay on the path along the coast (no visible symbols). The landscape changes as you approach Los Ajaches, with a few ravines appearing on the left that join together and flow into the ocean. Descend the path that leads to the ravine and the ocean.
(6) Retrace your steps and continue along the path that climbs to the right towards Baja Cumplida and take the path on the right towards a ruined tower.
(7) Continue and go around the promontory. Beautiful view to the north over Caleta Larga and Punta Gorda. Back on the main path, take the one on the right that runs along the ravine to the Y-junction.
(8) Continue straight ahead, leaving the coastline and crossing the Natural Park towards Playa Blanca. Leave the beginning of the ravine and a ruin on your left and, when you reach the path, turn left. Keep to the right at the following crossroads and join a dirt track that cars use to get to the beaches.
(9) Continue straight ahead. As you approach the beaches, you will see several paths. Go to the first promontory, closest to the ocean and the first houses. This offers a beautiful view of the fort/Playa Blanca on one side and almost all the beaches in the Natural Park on the other. Take the coastal path again.
(10) Retrace your steps a little and take the first path on the right. Follow it to Playa Mujeres beach with its Cueva de Agua (accessible only from the ocean) and its Antigo fortin.
(11) Walk along the beach and continue along the coastal path. Observe or access beautiful little beaches, as well as the large Playa del Pozo beach with its archaeological remains.
(12) Walk along the beach and continue along the coastal path to reach Playa de la Cera beach and the car park (S/E).
