The route starts from the large car park (in the commune of Lissac-sur-Couze) located near the Soulier de Chasteaux.
(S/E) From the car park, take the road leading to the Soulier to join the RD154 in the village and follow it to the left for 150 m.
(1) Then leave the RD154 and take the road on the right, which is tarmac at the start, leading to the Blagour pumping station and the Entrecor valley.
(2) About 400 m after the entrance to the pumping station (and the Blagour de Chasteaux chasm), do not cross the valley and stay on the path to the left. Follow this path for 1.15 km, first passing a little further to the right (about 150 m) the path that continues into the Entrecor valley, and, at the top of the climb, successively a path on the right (which also leads to Crochet) and then another on the left.
(3) You will reach a larger path that leads to the right to the top of the hill where the hamlet of Crochet is located.
(4) In the centre of the built-up area, take the tarmac road on the right which, after 200 m and a short climb, leads to a large meadow.
(5) Leave the road and walk along the woods on the right for 80 metres to find the path that descends into the Entrecor valley. Follow it for 750 metres, keeping to the right in the lower part to reach the bottom of the valley.
(6) Then take theGR®46on the left and follow it for 1.2 km, passing under the Paris/Toulouse railway line to finally arrive at the Couze sinkhole (the easternmost point of the hike).
(7) Descend to see the river's loss, which is more or less impressive depending on the flow of the watercourse, which disappears underground only to reappear at the Blagour chasm. Then go around the loss on the right to climb back up to the main path and cross it to take a trail that climbs steeply up the slope opposite, turning right a hundred metres higher up.
(8) The path then becomes almost horizontal, running along the foot of the embankments of the old quarry located just above. Continue for 1 km, following the best-marked path, which curves sharply to the left, leaving a fork to the right.
(9) You will then arrive at a larger path. Take the left branch and leave it after about 180 metres to take a path perpendicular to the right which, after 50 metres, arrives at a larger path (if you miss it, you will find the same path 100 metres further on to the right, leading to the same place).
Follow it to the right for 80 metres to reach the edge of a large meadow. Note that a few metres before the Jonquilles chasm, it is blocked by a metal plate.
(10) Follow the path that runs alongside the large meadow and turn left at the fork 500 metres further on, to follow a path of the same size that first climbs gently up the valley and then veers to the right, becoming passable by vehicle and steeper, to reach the village of Farges, 1.5 km from the chasm.
(11) Cross part of the village of Farges, following the main road until you reach a road suitable for vehicles on the right, near some recent houses. Follow it for 300 m.
(12) Then take another road on the left which goes around a small business depot before turning right downhill. After another 300 m, take the path on the left which goes up to the top of the hill where the well-known path begins on the right, following the ridge towards Montagne Pelée.
(13) Follow this road, which joins the starting point at Soulier de Chasteaux after 1.8 km. On the way, admire the view of the hilltop village of Chasteaux and Lake Causse in the background. At the crossroads, take the road that leads to the car park (S/E).
