Park next to the church in La Neuville-Chant-d'Oisel.
(S/E) Leave the church behind you and take the second street on the left, Rue de l'Ile. Continue to Rue du Vivier.
(1) Follow this street to the left, as well as theGRP® des Forêts de Haute Normandie (yellow and red markings). The street continues along Chemin du Battier. Follow it to the crossroads at elevation 150.
(2) Continue on the path almost opposite towards Le Bosquet. The yellow and red markings are present but not always visible. Cross a small road and reach a new crossroads at elevation 151. Turn left and join Rue des Jardins.
(3) Take it to the right until you reach the roundabout.
(4) Turn left onto Rue des Andelys and then immediately right.
(5) At the fork, turn right onto Rue de la Petite Cuette. Continue along a path marked in yellow and red which leads to the forest. Stay on the edge of the forest and continue through the valley until you reach a crossroads directly below a high-voltage power line.
(6) Then turn right and enter the Bois des Essarts. Stay on the main path (marked in red and yellow) and ignore all the side paths. You will reach a road at a pumping station.
(7) Follow the road to the right. At the crossroads in the hairpin bend, follow the road sign to the left indicating Abbaye de Fontaine Guérard. A little further down, continue along this road and leave theGRP® on your right. You will reach Abbaye de Fontaine Guérard and its spring.
(8) Continue along the road and you will come to another crossroads after about 150 metres.
(9) Turn left to admire the landscape and cross the small bridges over the Andelle.
(10) Retrace your steps.
(9) Turn left onto the small C92 road. Follow this small road, passing the old Levavasseur cotton mill. The Andelle river runs parallel to this road. Join theGRP® at a new pumping station.
(11) Turn right and follow theGRP® again (yellow and red markings). Begin a short but steep climb through the forest to reach the Côte de Queyrue.
(12) Continue on theGRP® to the right (the markings are on the wall of a small concrete building belonging to the Veolia company). Continue climbing, where the slope is gentler, to reach the Grange aux Loups, located on the left. The path ends at a small road.
(13) Leave theGRP® and turn left onto the D294A. Ignore the small road on the right leading to the Ferme de Longboël and continue to the Château Jacques Anquetil, at the crossroads with the D138.
(14) Be careful here: turn right onto the D138, which is somewhat dangerous (it is preferable to walk in the ravine). Continue to the small roundabout you crossed at the start.
(4) Turn left and follow the route back to the GRP® crossroads.
(3) Continue straight ahead on Rue des Jardins until it becomes a path at the junction with Rue du Chouquet.
(15) Take Chemin des Hauts Jardins opposite. Continue until you reach Rue des Canadiens, follow it until you reach Rue de l'Ile where there is a pond on the left. Turn right to return to the starting point via Rue de l'Église (S/E).
