(S/E) Your walk begins at the Jardin Georges Delaselle. Then turn right to reach the main road, which runs alongside theChapelle Sainte-Anne. Turn left onto this road.
(1) At the first intersection, take the left-hand path. Continue straight ahead, passing several houses and restaurants.
(2) Once you reach the Croix du Rhû, take the sloping road to the left: it will lead you through narrow streets towards the pier where you originally disembarked. To do this, keep left twice, then keep right.
(3) You will then return to the island's main road, offering a direct view of the harbour, its shops and restaurants. Continue along this road to its end, where a slight incline begins, leading to your second point of interest: Notre-DameChurch. This is open to visitors.
(4) Then take the first road you come to, running alongside the school. Follow it for a while: it offers beautiful views of several white sandy beaches. Continuing on, you will see a large white house at the end of a pier: this is the rescue station.
(5) Continue, then take the street on the left and immediately after that, the next one on the right. Then pass a street on the right before continuing straight ahead (Roc'higou) until you reach the ocean.
(6) Turn right. From this point onwards, the path becomes sandier and crosses areas of tall grass. Staying close to the coastline, you will find yourself walking through some particularly pleasant areas for hiking. You will then reach the western tip of the island, where you will find the Corps de Garde de l'île de Batz, a former maritime surveillance post. This is the ideal spot for a short exploration before continuing the circular.
(7) The trail takes you through rocky landscapes, coastal vegetation and maritime panoramas where the power of the ocean is evident. Then turn right onto the "Streat Park ar Goz Vilin" path. Return to the path you took on the way there and turn left, then left again onto the path towards Kerabandu.
(8) Continue straight ahead, then turn right towards the Batz Island Lighthouse, which is open to visitors and offers an exceptional panoramic view of the island. Be careful if you are prone to vertigo!
(9) After visiting the lighthouse, head back down the main road to the right towards the south. At the next bends, continue straight ahead until you reach the large cross.
(10) Take the road opposite: you will then cross the village, with its authentic rural houses and warm atmosphere. Then turn left immediately and then right twice to reach the Vénoc district.
(11) Turn left onto Rue Neuve. Then turn left twice to take Rue Creac'h Bihan. Then turn right towards the semaphore. This is thefifth and final point on your route. This building, which is still in operation, is used for maritime surveillance and navigational safety. It is not open to visitors, but is still interesting to observe.
(12) Then retrace your steps and turn right. At the first exit, turn right and follow the road to the waste collection centre.
(13) Turn left and return to the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1) Turn left towards theSainte-Anne Chapel. All you have to do then is climb the dunes on the right to reach the Rêves de Mer centre (E).
