Departure from the Maison des Lacs in Mesnil-Saint-Père.
Follow the yellow markings
(S/E) With your back to the Maison des Lacs, turn right towards the port. After the port jetty, go through the barrier and continue straight ahead on the dyke that ensures the stability of Lac d'Orient.
(1) Go through the barrier on the left towards the church to leave the dyke and walk through the orchards. At the church, turn left, go to the end of the courtyard and turn right at the house, following the Lapin Blanc sign.
(2) At the end of the hedge-lined path, turn right and then right again into the sunken path to cross the duckboards.
(3) Cross the main street and take the pavement to the left, then quickly take the gravel path on the right.
(4) Follow Petite Rue to the left, then turn right into Ruelle des Vignes. Continue along the dirt track and turn left.
(5) Back on the street, keep right on Place du Lavoir, pass in front of the pond and turn left.
(6) Behind the manor house and barn, turn right onto Rue Yvonne Martinot and turn left at the first path next to a barn.
(7) Back on the main road, turn right and stay on the right-hand pavement (leaving Le Lapin Blanc). Turn right into the cul-de-sac Rue de l'Orient and continue straight ahead to take a white path that crosses the countryside towards the forest.
(8) At the forest crossroads, turn left to return to the beach. At the end of the path, cross the RD43 to follow the right-hand side of the road and then the grassy area. Cross the car park to find the footpath along the beach to the Maison des Lacs (S/E).
