Senillé Forts Route

Start from the car park next to the school and playground: Place Palousier.

(S/E) Head towards the church and keep it on your left. Take the paved path and turn right into Rue de Vaudreching. At the stop sign, turn left up Rue des Vignes. Cross Rue du 19 Mars on the right-hand side. About a hundred metres further on, take a path on the right which quickly becomes grassy. Shortly after a building, turn left onto this path.

(1) At the T-junction, turn left then immediately right, heading down a stony path. Continue towards the woods and follow a dirt track south-east, ignoring the side paths.

(2) At the farm in the hamlet of Le Paradis, turn left onto a gravel track. After about 200 m, turn right. At the T-junction, head right towards the hamlet of La Gaucherie.

(3) Take a fenced path on the left, which is then lined with hedges. After a wind turbine, the path widens. At the T-junction, turn right.

(4) As you leave the woods (panoramic view), continue straight ahead along a wide lane.

(5) At^{the third} junction, ignore the path that climbs and turn left into a sunken lane. Continue straight on (south-south-west) until you reach the edge of the woods.

(6) Turn right onto a dirt track and pass the house in the hamlet of La Pivarderie. After about 200 m, at a fork, turn left. This will take you to the buildings in the hamlet of La Bordillière.

(7) Turn right onto the road and immediately afterwards right again. Pass through the hamlet of Balange. At the three-way junction, turn left towards La Girauderie. Ignore a path on the left. Further on, pass La Girauderie and arrive at a crossroads.

(8) Take a grassy path on the left and head downhill. Cross a stream and climb back up to the D133. Cross the road carefully and head back down the road towards Targé/Châtellerault along Rue de la Grange Neuve. After 400 m, ignore the small path on the left and take the bend to the right.

(9) After about fifty metres, turn left onto a tarmac path between the trees and the stream, then past the gardens and another stream.

(10) At the T-junction, turn right. Cross the D38, taking care, and after a few metres, take a grassy path on the right. Continue to the next junction.

(11) Turn right and follow the path uphill to the tarmac road. Continue to the crossroads (cross). Then turn right onto Rue du Berry to reach the finish (S/E).
