Park at Place du Maréchal Ferrand near the church.
(S/E) Head towards the lower part of the village via Route d’Irvillac, turn onto Route des Monts d’Arrée and take the first road on the left, Route de Bodénan. Note the Celtic cross and the wash house (Kandi) in the background. Continue along the road and turn off after 100 m, to the left, towards Kerhuel. Reach the hamlet via the road on the left.
(1) Take the path on the right and join the D18 just before a bridge.
(2) Turn left, cross a stream and continue along the road to the first junction marked by a sign for Chemin du Tréhou,
(3) Turn right onto a path to reach a high point at 139 m. Take care when climbing to the top of the rock, as it can be slippery. You’ll have a beautiful view of the surrounding area – the perfect moment to catch your breath and have a drink.
(4) Carefully descend the rock, cross a stream and follow the path as it winds southwards. At the 123-metre mark, turn left towards the east to reach a picnic area.
(5) Turn right onto the path that climbs towards the highest point of the commune at altitude 172.
(6) Look out for and go round the highest point, the rock (Roc'h Gad). Continue on to Bodénan.
(7) Go straight on along the path, skirting the highest point. At the road, cross over and take in the countryside.
(8) Walk leisurely to Coat Menec Huella, passing a few springs and water sources along the way. Cross the D35.
(9) Turn left to reach the gas pipeline (yellow marker 465).
(10) Turn right at the marker and continue for 1 km
(11) First turn right then left and continue for 1 km.
(12) Turn right towards the D33 (road between Irvillac and Le Tréhou), cross with care to reach the hamlet of Brunoc. After the pétanque court, ignore the sign for Chemin du Tréhou at the junction.
(13) At Brunoc, before the garage shed, take the path on the left, and after 100 m, turn right. Following some steep descents and climbs, reach the hamlet of Kergoat.
(14) Walk quietly through the hamlet and admire the magnificent restored houses.
Turn left and then immediately right to rejoin the path that will take you to the mill by the bridge and the village square (S/E).
