Park near the church.
(S/E) Walk north up Rue de l’Église, cross Rue Nationale towards Rue du Bois. At the three-way junction, turn left onto Rue du Pont Neuf (towards Baud).
(1) Turn right onto the green path and follow it for 300 metres. Cross the road and take the tree-lined path opposite (private property). Follow the wide, shaded avenue to the right, then immediately to the left. Walk alongside the boundary wall bordering the gardens of Lannouan Castle. In front of a wrought-iron gate, you’ll see the superb 18th-century Lannouan Castle (private property; not open to the public). Continue along the path to the right until you reach Talvern (with its very old buildings).
(2) Turn right and head back towards the village. After 400 m along the road, turn left towards the hamlet of Kerverh.
(3) After 100 m along the road, turn right and walk along the fields, then through a small wood (private property). Cross the Ruisseau de Talvern. Continue following the signposts until you reach a housing estate: a tarmac road.
(4) At the first junction, turn left onto the sunken lane. Before crossing Rue d’Auray, look to your right for a superb lintel depicting Landévant and his wife.
(5) Cross Rue d’Auray to reach Rue de la Grange, opposite. At No. 2 on this street, you’ll see a well typical of Breton wells (private property) and, in front of the presbytery, a Celtic stele. Dating from the 5th century BC (Early Iron Age), this ‘Lech’ is a funerary stele.
Walk round the church to return to your starting point (S/E).
