Ropenard Valley Route in Loutehel

(S/E) With your back to the church, head diagonally across the road to follow Rue de Thidoret (D59) towards Thidoret.

(1) At the last houses, turn right to enter the valley. Cross the Ruisseau des Vaults then turn right again to follow it.

(2) Cross the stream again, follow it for about 200 m, then veer off to the left to reach the D63.

(3) Follow it to the left until you reach the junction, then turn right onto the D61 towards Ropenard. Continue until you reach the power line.

(4) Leave the road and take the path on the left, then take another path a little further on to the right.

(5) Head down to the right into the valley along the path opposite. Cross the Ruisseau de Ropenard, then make a circular loop to the right to follow the stream higher up before heading back down to the right to rejoin it.

(6) Cross the stream once more, then head back up the path that winds through the woods before emerging onto the D61.

(7) Follow it to the right for about 300 m, then turn left at the first dirt track, which joins a road near the Breil dairy farm.

(8) Turn right onto the track, walk for about a hundred metres, then turn left. Ignore a track on the left heading towards La Hautière; continue along a path through the woods until you come out onto another track which joins the D63.

(9) Follow it to the right for about 100 m, then turn left to follow the track called Rue de la Vigne and reach the Town Hall.

(10) Walk past the Town Hall, come out onto Rue de l’École (D63) and follow it to the right as far as the church (S/E).
