Route de la Vacherie from Sainte-Féréole

Park in the car park at Sainte-Féréole church.

(S/E) Walk down Rue du Presbytère.

(1) Cross Rue du 8 Mai and take the path opposite, slightly to the left, which is not shown on the map. This path, known as “les haies”, features information boards about the local flora and fauna. When you reach the road, take it to the right until you reach the junction (cross).

(2) Turn left and continue downhill along the path that runs alongside the road. At the junction with a forest track not shown on the map, turn right.

(3) Cross the Maumont Noir stream via a concrete beam. Follow the path back up to the road.

(4) Leave the Maumont route on your left and take the Vacherie route on your right. Follow the main road with care until you reach the road leading to Coulié. Take this road to the right. Cross the hamlet then take the path on the hillside to the left.

(5) At the junction, turn right onto the path leading downhill. Cross a stream and continue to the road, which you should follow to the left for a few dozen metres.

(6) At the junction, take the road opposite. Leave this quickly by turning left onto a path not shown on the map. Walk past a farm then head down to the right until you reach the road.

(7) Take the road on the left. Cross the bridge over the Maumont Noir stream, just before the hamlet of Larguay. Walk up the road.

(8) On leaving the hamlet of Moussours, leave the road at a left-hand bend and take the path that continues straight ahead.

(9) Take the D144 on the right and leave it at the first road on the right. Pass through the hamlet of Verlhac Haut and continue along the path that runs parallel to the road. At the junction, take the path on the right to the hamlet of Sicard.

(10) In the hamlet, take the road on the left.

(11) Just before the D144, turn onto the path on the right, just before the road leading to the municipal workshops. Keep to the left to avoid going into the houses below, but head uphill. Then continue slightly to the right along the road and walk past the cemetery. Follow Avenue du 8 Mai.

(1) Turn left uphill onto Rue du Presbytère to return to the car park (S/E).
