Circuit de la Paillardière à Saint-M'Hervé

Start from Place de l’Église.
Yellow PR® markings, supplemented by green arrows bearing the number 42.

(S/E) Head towards the back of the church to go round it. Once on the other side, turn right onto Rue de Ruellan, then turn left and join the main road (D777).

(1) Cross at the pedestrian crossing, head right then turn left onto Rue des Marronniers. At the roundabout, continue straight on, pass the hamlet of La Touche then turn right onto a farm track. Follow it along the fields for about 1.4 km then turn right, at a 90° angle, to join a country road.

(2) Turn right onto this road, then, at the stop sign, turn left and follow the road (D777) to La Ville en Bois. Turn right just before the houses and follow the road to a crossroads.

(3) Turn right and take a dirt track to another crossroads.

(4) Cross the road carefully and continue straight ahead until you reach La Paillardière.

(5) Turn right, then take the second road on the left. Follow this road, then turn left onto a dirt track just after La Rouablère. Continue to a junction, just before the hamlet of La Souricière.

(6) Turn right and follow the track. After the right-hand bend, turn left to follow the edge of the field and join a road (D24).

(7) Turn left onto this road, then cross at the first pedestrian crossing. Then make a quick right/left turn to join a small path. Turn right about twenty metres further on, cross the first street (Rue de Bellevue) and, at the second street, turn left to come out onto Rue de la Mairie. Turn right and continue straight on to return to the starting point (S/E).

The route can be tackled on foot or by mountain bike. The route is signposted in a clockwise direction.
