Description of the walk

Start in front of the village school (small car park available).

(S/E) From the car park, turn right onto Rue de la République, which joins the D26; follow this towards the river.

(1) Turn left after crossing the River Barbenan and head up the small road to leave the village at the top. Cross the D207 and follow the path uphill to the hamlet of Pétrassin, at the top of the hill. After passing through the hamlet, turn right.

(2) At the junction, head slightly left onto the small tarmac road until you reach a farm. At this junction, you can walk up about ten metres to see the statue of the Madonna. Carry on until you reach the junction with a road.

(3) Follow the tarmac road which veers sharply to the right. Carry on down the hill, staying on this road, passing a working farm.

(4) Turn right onto the D471. A few dozen metres further on, cross the D26 towards the hamlet of Mousserin. Pass through the hamlet and continue southwards.

(5) At the junction, go to the left of the gamekeepers’ lodge towards the River Barbenan, cross the fairground and you’ll arrive back at the village school (S/E).
