The Ecce Homo route in Trédaniel

The route starts at the car park by Trédaniel Town Hall, or alternatively in Moncontour at the Éperon car park.

(S/E) From the car park in Trédaniel, head down towards the pond and go round it on the left. Continue towards the houses along the path that climbs up at the end of the pond. You will reach Rue des Acacias.

(1) Walk down it to the right, then turn left into Rue des Châtaigniers.

(2) At the first house on the left, take the path immediately on the right which goes behind the house. This is the Chemin de l’Ecce Homo, which descends towards Moncontour. Turn right at the first junction and you’ll reach the bottom of the valley.

(3) Follow Rue du Moulin de Saint-Michel to the right; at the end of the street, take the narrow lane on the left, then turn left again onto Rue Saint-Michel.

(4) Turn left to go round the Chapelle Saint-Michel via Rue de l'Aire Damas, then continue along Chemin du Leat, a path through the woods in the valley. You’ll come out at Étang Prioux.

(5) Turn left, then head up to the right along a wider path to the Notre-Dame du Haut Chapel.

(6) In front of the chapel, turn left and follow the road that passes near the football ground. At the junction (La Croix Rouault), continue straight on towards the village of Trédaniel.

(7) Turn right onto the path that goes round the church on the right. Cross the road and head down towards the town hall car park (S/E).
