Yellow markings
Car park around the church.
(S/E) From the church, head towards the hamlet of Quengo, continuing straight on along the road. Pass the primary school and the fire station, leaving the hamlet on your right. You’ll come to a fork in the road at the bend.
(1) This is the exact point where the watershed between the English Channel and the Atlantic lies. Turn right at the junction, then left onto the dirt track leading to the hamlet of Les Petits Vaux.
(2) At the end of the hamlet, turn right and continue straight on along the road to Saint-Meux.
(3) At the cross, take the path opposite. Turn left onto the small road, then right onto the D103 which leads to Carfort.
(4) At the cross, turn left to enter the hamlet of Carfort, with its typical old houses.
(5) Instead of continuing through the hamlet, take the dirt track that climbs up to the heights. Turn right at the top of the track onto the footpath (lovely view), then at the small road, head back down to the right towards the village.
(6) Turn left towards the moors, then take the dirt track leading right towards a pond. Instead of going to the pond, turn left onto the path that runs alongside it at the edge of the woods.
(7) At a junction, continue straight ahead along the path through the woodland.
(8) At the end, cross the hamlet of Avaleuc to the right. Turn left onto the road, then turn right onto the track. Continue to the right until you see Launay Costio.
(9) Head up to the left to the Saint-Gilles chapel at the Launay Costio manor house.
(10) Turn right onto the road and follow it to a crossroads (cross).
(11) Turn left, then after about 100 m, turn left onto the dirt track leading up towards the village.
(12) At the first housing estate, turn right into Rue des Grands Prés. Leave Chemin de la Forge on your left, then turn left towards the church. Go round it on the left (S/E).
