Start at the junction of the D58 and Rue Pierreuse. Park along the D58.
(S/E) Take Rue Pierreuse (pedestrians only). Climb steeply. Pass the Maison de Fer (built for the Paris World Fair) and continue straight ahead, following theGR®11(red and white markings). Cross a perpendicular road.
(1) About 200 m further on, take thesecond path on the left (leaving theGR®). The path turns right, leaves the woods and continues between the fields.
(2) At the crossroads, turn left and cross the hamlet of Champ Romery. After the last houses, cross a road and continue on the path opposite. Descend steeply, cross the Rouillon de Valence and climb up the other side.
(3) At the T-junction, turn left and descend gently into the forest. Then follow the Rouillon. At the end of the path, follow a tarmac road to the right and continue straight on towards the centre of the village of Fourcherolles.
(4) At the intersection, turn right and stay on the tarmac road. At the T-junction, continue left. Ignore a turn-off on the right and follow the road to the village exit via Rue de la Brèche. Join the D91 and follow it left towards Dampierre.
(5) Pass Saint-Pierre Church and continue on the D91 to quickly reach the entrance to Dampierre Castle.
(6) Continue along the road and take thefirst left, the D58 (Rue de Maincourt), to quickly return to the starting point (S/E).
