Route around Corps-Nuds

The route starts at the church of Corps-Nuds, situated in the heart of the village. There are a few parking spaces near the church.

(S/E) Walk round the church on the right-hand side to see it from all angles, then take the pedestrian crossing directly opposite the hairdresser’s and follow the narrow path between the hairdresser’s and the bakery. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the crossing marked by a small wooden gate. The path slopes down slightly. Turn left to reach the housing estate, then follow the pavement on the left. Cross Rue de Châteaubriant at the pedestrian crossing and turn immediately right onto Rue des Ormeaux. Walk all the way down the street to reach the entrance to the Corps-Nuds woods.

(1) Take the small path on the right which leads into the woods. The path is well-maintained. Turn right and follow the path and the various footbridges that criss-cross it. Complete a circular loop through the woods by following the path. Once you have completed the circular route through the woods, continue along the tarmac road, then turn right and cross Rue de Janzé (D410) with care, continuing straight on to reach Rue Duboys des Sauzais, which runs alongside the cemetery. Walk all the way up this street, then turn right onto Boulevard de la Gare. Carry on straight ahead for about 100 m, then take the small path on the right – where there is a stone block – which leads to the pond.

(2) Walk round the pond on the right, following the small path. Once you have walked round the pond, go through the gate and turn right onto Boulevard de la Gare. Walk up this boulevard to the top, until you reach Corps-Nuds station, where there is also a bus stop.

(3) Turn left onto the gravel path. Continue straight on to the end of the gravel path and turn right onto another gravel path that runs through the heart of the housing estates. Continue straight on to the end of this path.

(4) At the end of the track, turn left onto a small path through the trees, which takes you round the housing estates on the left and the industrial estate on the right. Continue straight on until you reach a wooden gate. Leave the small path to join the road and follow the pavement immediately on the left onto Rue de Rennes.

(5) Carry on straight along this street for about 200 metres and turn right at the sign for the hamlet of La Fontaine. Walk down the tarmac path and, at the junction, take the path on the left.

(6) Walk up the path through the orchard trees until you reach the road again; continue straight on, crossing the Allée des Peupliers, and enter the housing estate at the Impasse de la Fontaine, where there are angled parking spaces on the left. At the end of the cul-de-sac, take the street on the left. The town hall is 100 metres on the left. When you reach Rue de Rennes, turn right onto the pavement and continue straight on to reach the church at Corps-Nuds (S/E).
