In Vandoncourt, follow the signs for "La Damassine" to reach the start of the hike.
From the bottom of the car park, after a technical room, the pedestrian route is marked with a small blue plum symbol.(a)
(S/E) Start the descent down Rue des Aiges. At the second street going uphill on the right, temporarily leave the marked trail to reach the fountain. Continue left along Rue Sous Fresnois and pass in front of the Temple. At the next crossroads, return to the marked trail and cross at the corner of an old factory that has been converted into a village hall. Go down Rue des Damas to the right of this building and continue to the lime tree roundabout.
(1) Continue straight ahead, slightly to the left, towards Pont Sarrazin via the street of the same name.GRP®.
At the crossroads with the small fountain-wash house, continue to the right.
At the village exit, continue along the tarmac road leading to La Cachette, then along the stony path that climbs into the forest.
(2) From Pont Sarrazin (b), climb back up to the plateau via a short winding path.
Turn left until you reach a logging area, then continue right on a shaded path.
At the Édouard Montavon Monument (c), climb the hillside to the farm road. Turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach the Abbévillers road after passing a removable barrier. Turn left towards the orientation table.
(3) Go straight down across the lawn towards the football pitch. Go around it on the right on the path leading downhill. At the next crossroads, turn right and follow the shaded path to the entrance to the village. Go down Rue d'Abbévillers on the left to the town hall/school.
(4) Opposite the town hall, take Rue de l'Étang. Go to number 23 and climb the hill on the left to reach Rue des Aiges and the car park. (A/D)
