The starting point is near the rear car park of the Plateau community hall. It is located on the edge of the D9 departmental road, towards Abbévillers, very close to the sign marking the end of the village, Rue du Bannet in Montbouton, next to 21 Rue du Mont Novel.
The walk is marked with a green ring.
(S/E) Go behind the sports field near the forest. Look carefully for the green ring markings so you don't miss this pleasant little path. After a few metres, turn right onto Rue de la Chaux and take the main road on the left. Walk down through the village towards Dasle along the departmental road.
(1) Take Rue de la Fontaine Saint-Léger, which will lead you to the viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the Belfort gap and the Bas Pays de Montbéliard, with the blue line of the Vosges mountains in the background. Continue down Rue de la Fontaine.
(2) Cross an old dyke and turn right onto Chemin de la Combe. Further on, on your left, take Chemin des Couporons, which will lead you to Grammont after crossing the RD39 and following the boundary between Beaucourt and Montbouton.
(3) Pass in front of a superb shelter that can be used for a break. Continue climbing. The path is equipped with steps. Once you reach the top of Grammont, still on the edge of the commune, walk over the ruins of the Neolithic site's fortifications. You are now at an altitude of 577 metres.
Note: I suppose you need to be an expert to find the Neolithic site.
Leave the path on the left and continue straight ahead. Then return to Chemin des Champs Houdin, passing in front of the reservoir.
(4) At the crossroads, turn left, then further on turn right and walk along a pasture.
(5) Continue straight ahead at the Croix du Mont Novel after crossing the D39 again.
(6) At the next crossroads, as you enter the forest, turn right. You will now be on your way back. After going around the "Parcours" du Bannet, you will find yourself on another slope on the edge of Vandoncourt. From here, you will have a view of the Jura Mountains and the Doubs Valley. Surrounded by nature, you will return to your starting point (S/E).
