Car park at the village square in Silly.
(S/E) With your back to the church, take the small Rue du Notariat and follow the lane to the right, join Ruelle Place Rouppe, turn left, reach Rue du Marais and follow it to the left.
(1) At No. 7, follow the small street on the right that leads to the Saint-Joseph school.
Walk along it on your left and continue on the path straight ahead. When you reach a street, at the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-secours Chapel, turn left. The street climbs slightly and gives way to a path that leads to a road, the N57, Chaussée de Ghislenghien. Cross very carefully and follow the street in front of you, Rue Gambremont, which leads to a petrol station and joins Rue Mauvinage.
(2) Follow this street to the left and you will reach a cul-de-sac on the left.
(3) Walk to the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima and back.
(3) Resume the route. Pass a street on the left (Rue du Loup) and Rue du Joncquoy on the right (towards Fouleng) and, a few dozen metres further on, take the sloping street with the pretty name of Rue Montagne Gambette. At the end of the street, follow the path down to the N57. Cross very carefully and follow Rue Brunfaut, turning right/left. The street enters the woods. Join a wide forest path on the right.
(4) Follow this lane, which leads to a small road, Chemin des Ronds. Follow it to the left. The street runs through the woods, begins its descent towards the Sille stream and reaches a path, Sentier du Bois de Ligne, which branches off to the right just before a car park.
(5) Follow the path, which then turns left and begins to climb. Depending on the weather, some short sections may be muddy.
The path crosses private woodland, so please follow the signs.
At the top, turn right and, a few metres further on, turn right again to meet the public road.
(6) Turn left onto this wide forest path which climbs gently, then descends to cross the Marq stream and reaches a pretty white chapel in the middle of the woods. Ignore the paths to the left and right and continue on the main path to reach the Chemin Royal at a five-way crossroads.
(7) Take the first road on your left, Rue de l'Arcamp, which leaves the woods and gives way to a small asphalt road, offering some beautiful views towards Enghien. Once you reach Rue Saint-Marcoult, follow it to the left towards the Chapelle de Saint-Marcoult. Reach Rue de la Haute Pensée, which branches off to the left.
(8) Follow this street which climbs to the top of the hill, passes a pretty white house and, before the top, take the street that heads right towards the woods. At the entrance to the woods, continue straight on along the path which, after a steep descent, joins Chemin des Ronds. Follow it to the left and descend to the car park mentioned in (5).
(9) Before this car park, turn right onto the tarmac road which goes through a barrier and continues on a slightly undulating course. After a sharp left turn, you will reach a three-way junction.
(10) Turn left onto a road lined with beautiful trees, which climbs slightly. Ignore two paths on the left.
(11) Further on, leave the road and take a small path that branches off to the right, leaving the woods and taking Rue d'en Haut. There are beautiful views of the countryside on your right. Pass Rue Boucquemont on your left, reach a farm and Rue Haut Port, and continue straight ahead to a crossroads and a chapel.
(12) Take the path that branches off to the left and descends towards the Ruisseau du Marais. Pass a path on your left and you will reach a T-junction.
(13) Turn left and join Rue du Notariat. Head right to return to the car park at the village square (S/E).
