This hike passes close to the following three castles: Thoricourt, Morval and Louvignies.
A pretty burial mound awaits walkers at the seventh kilometre, shortly after Thoricourt Castle.
The vast, gently rolling countryside of this part of Hainaut is dotted with isolated farms scattered between villages and hamlets. The horizon is often blocked by trees, sometimes arranged in copses, sometimes in rows along paths or village streets, and sometimes grouped together in woods, such as those of Cambron or La Provision. And then, here and there, hidden around a bend in the road, you will find a castle or two.

Notes
There are a few parking spaces at the starting point, along the wall of the Sainte-Radegonde church in Louvignies, opposite the castle entrance gate.
Please note that those allergic to mud and/or tarmac will get their money's worth, as both are very much present on this route.
However, it should be noted that the small roads used are very quiet.
Worth a visit
Two other castles are located off the route, in Fouleng and Lombise respectively.

A hike undertaken in a small group (6 people), in lovely weather (no mud...)
We would have liked a slightly more detailed description!
With the map and the GPX track, we had no trouble following the route, but at the start, it felt like a leap into the unknown.
The route is fairly flat. The landscapes are very open (fields and pastures). A few scattered small copses occasionally offer a bit of shade.
