To reach the start: from Thiézac, head to the hamlet of La Goutte, walk through it and take the first road on the right. Park immediately on the left after passing under the railway bridge.
Marked with purple arrows
(S/E) With your back to the railway bridge, take the track that heads off horizontally to the right. At the three-way junction, turn left and, at the next junction, turn left again. You’ll reach a three-way junction after taking a right-hand hairpin bend.
(1) Turn left and continue until you reach a fork at the foot of the Porte du Lion.
(2) Climb up to the right, pass the gate and reach a fork at the edge of a clearing (peat bog). Turn left and you’ll soon come to a small cross-path.
(3) Turn right, then immediately afterwards turn right again onto a footpath. Continue along the edge of the clearing, then head into the woodland until you reach the next fork.
Turn left for a short round trip to a viewpoint.
(4) Then return to the path you left earlier and continue to the left. Carry on further to the left (GR®) and arrive at a “level stretch” at the bottom of a short, steep descent.
Leave theGR® and take a small path on the left, which runs parallel to it at first but then descends and veers away. Follow this path to a clearing with a table.
Carry on to the left towards the rock protruding from the trees. The path climbs slightly, then winds its way between the rocks and reaches a junction with a small track (GR®).
(5) Carry on straight ahead and head down to the car park (S/E).
