Cascades de la Pleureuse et de la Sauffaz walks
Le Grand Pré via the Chalets de Sales
A very beautiful hike starting from Le Lignon in a magnificent setting (Passy - Haut-Giffre nature reserve). Depending on the season in which you do this hike, take into account the crossing of several snowfields (very late in 2013) and numerous streams that "cut" the path.
From Lignon to Refuge Alfred Wills and descent via Refuge des Fonds
This route presents no difficulties other than the distance and elevation gain, and can be completed in one go by well-trained hikers.
The route is fully signposted and can be completed in its entirety by following the directions on the signs and markings (a little more difficult when the "high" part is snow-covered, as it was during our last hike :-) ).
Pointe de Sales
A magnificent ascent via the Sales Refuge.
After passing close to the Pleureuse, Sauffaz, Sales and Trainant waterfalls, the Sales valley offers us bucolic landscapes that contrast with the harshness of the surrounding peaks. It's like being in a Snow White cartoon... or, more to my taste, Shrek.
The rest of the route, no less remarkable, will lead us to a breathtaking panorama...
From Le Lignon to the Alfred Wills Refuge via the small pass of Anterne
Beautiful climbs and pretty waterfalls, with panoramic views over the Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval valley.

From the Alfred Wills Refuge to Châtelet d'Ayères via Lac de Pormenaz
A beautiful hike at the foot of the Fiz cliff. Beautiful panoramic views from the Col d'Anterne, beautiful lakes and a dizzying descent.
Refuge des Fonts - Refuge de la Vogealle
A lovely hike in the Cirque du Fer à Cheval with its remarkable waterfalls, a stop at the Bout du Monde, with a balcony path through the forest to reach the Chalet du Boret, and a steady climb to reach the Refuge de la Vogealle perched on a pretty plateau.
Important note: this route requires a taxi shuttle from the Cascade du Rouget to the Cirque du Fer à Cheval (14 km) to reduce the walking distance.
Refuges Moëde Anterne - Pierre à Bérard via le Buet
Second stage of the Tour des Aiguilles Rouges.
This second stage follows the itinerary of the Mont Blanc GRP®. Hike through the Passy Reserve to the Col de Salenton. It's optional to climb the Mont Blanc des Dames: le Buet. Descent through the Vallon de Bérard nature reserve to the mountain hut.
Moëde Anterne refuge - Col and Lac d'Anterne - Lac Vert - Plaine Joux
From the Moëde Anterne refuge where you will have spent the night, there is a beautiful climb to the Col d'Anterne, facing Mont Blanc, then a return trip to Lac d'Anterne. The descent from the pass is via the 4X4 track to spare your joints.
Châtelet d'Ayères - Refuge de Sales via Le Dérochoir
Climb up the rocks for panoramic views of Mont Blanc. Please note: technical and exposed sections.
Plaine Joux - Refuge de Moëde Anterne via Lac de Pormenaz
The first stage of a two-day excursion to Lac d'Anterne, this day allows us to reach the Refuge du Col d'Anterne via Les Argentières and Lac de Pormenaz.
Le Dérochoir
An extraordinary hike that almost forms a loop, starting from the Châtelet car park; a complete change of scenery guaranteed in an exceptional environment (Passy and Sixt nature reserves; Platé desert). You will need two vehicles.
Tour des Aiguilles Rouges
The five-day Tour des Aiguilles Rouges is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Mont Blanc region: breathtaking panoramic views, extremely varied landscapes, and a wild and unspoilt environment.
This tour is located in the heart of three nature reserves: the Aiguilles Rouges, Passy and Vallon de Bérard nature reserves. A panoramic route of great beauty between glaciers, lakes, moraines, forests, flora and wildlife.
Tour des Aiguilles Rouges: Servoz - Refuge Moede Anterne
First stage of the Aiguilles Rouges tour.
This stage begins with a forest climb with views of Mont Blanc and the Bossons glacier. Continuing with a panoramic hike over the Passy reserve, we pass Lac de Pormenaz and arrive at Refuge de Moëde Anterne which overlooks the Mont Blanc mountain range.
Tour des Aiguilles Rouges : Refuge Pierre à Bérard - Refuge Flégère
Third stage of the Tour des Aiguilles Rouges.
This stage is on the GRP® Tour du Pays du Mont Blanc itinerary. Descend through the Vallon de Bérard nature reserve with its waterfall to the Col des Montets, then climb back up to the Refuge de la Flègère to take in the panoramic view of the Mont Blanc mountain range and its glaciers.
