Head to Cadaqués and park in the main car park (paid) at the entrance to the town. Free parking may be available in the adjacent streets, depending on the season.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, head straight ahead onto Riera de Sant Vicenç; pass the first left and continue to a junction. Turn right onto Carrer de la Unió, which becomes Carrer del Vigilant, leading you to the beach in the heart of Cadaqués, with a large white building (the Casino) on your right.

(1) Turn right onto Riba Nemesi Llorens, which runs along the coast towards Rosès per la Costa. Pass a small beach and continue along Riba Pitxot, go under a portico and carry on along Carrer del Doctor Bartomeus.
Walk past another small beach, then follow the road as it climbs slightly, temporarily moving away from the coast, until you reach the entrance to the Hotel Rocamar.

(2) Let theGR®® branch off to the right and turn left onto Avinguda Verge del Carme, following the sign for the Itinerari Far de Cala Nans.
When you reach a junction by the beach, turn right onto Carrer Sant Pius V.
Further on, you’ll come to a concrete section that slopes to the left onto Carrer des Quers and leads to a hairpin bend.
Leave the road on your left, marked with a ‘no entry’ sign, and continue for a few metres until you reach another junction.
Ignore the path on the right and turn left, following the sign for ‘Cami de Ronda’ on the Cami de Cala Nans.
Follow the concrete track uphill; it turns into a dirt track as it reaches the higher ground. Enjoy the views of Cadaqués, as well as the dry-stone ruins all around the path.
Continue along the path, which curves to the right – with your back to the sea – to go round a hollow and reach a junction.
(3) Ignore the path on the right and carry on to the left for about 300 m until you reach a sort of small pass (with a stone marker on the right-hand side).
Carry on straight ahead along a narrower, well-maintained path that descends towards the lighthouse.
As you pass above the beach, a first small path leads down to the left, allowing you to head down to the beach (optional). Continuing along the path, a second path on the left also leads down to the water’s edge (optional and very steep towards the end).
Keep following the main path, which leads to Cala Nans Lighthouse.
(4) Turn back and follow the path on the right which leads to a jetty at the water’s edge. Head back up the path and turn right to follow the inverse route back to the beach where you started.
Unmarked
At the start of this beach, look out for the Plaza del Doctor Tremols on the left, with its four trees. Turn left just after the Els Pescadors restaurant, following the signs for Església – Casc Antic. Climb the nine steps and pass under the arcades to reach a junction.
Turn left onto Carrer del Doctor Callis. At the next junction, turn right up Carrer Curós – a typical street lined with bougainvillea – which leads up to the Eglésia Santa Maria on the left and its forecourt.
(5) With the church on your left, take Carrer de l’Eglésia straight ahead. Pass Carrer d’es Call on your right and ignore the next two streets on your left. Head back down Carrer Bellaire to the right and turn left into a passageway that joins Carrer de la Unió.
Turn left and follow the same route as on the way there to return to the car park (S/E).
Lovely little walk with a splendid view of Cadaques!
